Down to the last micron and beyond! CeramTec showcases advanced ceramic solutions at SEMICON Europa 2025

CeramTec will be exhibiting at the leading trade fair for the European semiconductor industry in Munich. The company will showcase high-performance ceramic solutions for critical machining and production processes in the semiconductor industry.

  • Cutting-edge ceramic solutions are key enablers in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • CeramTec continues to strengthen its role as trusted innovation and development partner in the semiconductor business.

CeramTec’s high-precision advanced ceramic solutions for the most demanding semiconductor applications take center stage in the company’s presentation at this year’s SEMICON Europa 2025. SEMICON is a leading European platform connecting industry leaders across the entire design and manufacturing supply chain in the semiconductor industry.

High-performance ceramics: Designed to meet highest industry demands

CeramTec’s advanced ceramic solutions are engineered to meet increasingly demanding industry standards. Particular focus is paid towards purity, chemical stability, thermal endurance, and wear resistance. The material’s consistent properties, along with reliable and precise performance makes them essential for components used in semiconductor manufacturing. As a trusted development partner to the industry, CeramTec will showcase ultra-precise ceramic solutions for front-end semiconductor production and metrology applications – including wafer chucks and structural chamber components. Visitors at SEMICON will also have the opportunity to gain insights into how advanced machining techniques such as innovative hard machining, grinding, and lapping contribute to optimized final specifications in flatness, parallelism, and surface roughness.

“We don’t see ourselves merely as a manufacturer of high-quality engineered ceramics,“ says Martin Kopecny, Director Business Line Semiconductor at CeramTec GmbH. „We position ourselves as a committed innovation partner to the semiconductor industry – continuously developing our manufacturing processes and production capabilities to meet and exceed the individual needs of our demanding semiconductor customers.”

Material expertise and comprehensive know-how in the entire semiconductor process chain

At the SEMICON EUROPA show, CeramTec will be demonstrating its significantly expanded product development and material production capabilities in ceramic solutions based on Silicon Carbide (SiSiC), but also its expertise with other high-performance materials used in the semiconductor industry. These include Silicon Nitride (Si3N4), Aluminium Nitride (AIN) and Alumina (Al2O3).

“In the semiconductor business, high-precision isn’t optional – it’s non-negotiable,“ asserts Dieter Soukup, Director Global Sales Semiconductor at CeramTec. “More than 120 years of advanced ceramic materials know-how, paired with extensive experience in precision manufacturing, establishes us as a trusted solution partner for high-precision ceramic components in today’s semiconductor industry. Our ceramic solutions are enabling the industry to push the boundaries of physics to meet unique and demanding customer requirements. At SEMICON Europa, we invite visitors to explore our latest advancements, engage with our expert team, and discover how our ceramic solutions can help shape their success.”

CeramTec will be showcasing its ceramic solutions for the semiconductor industry at SEMICON Europa, co-hosted with productronica from 18 to 21 November 2025 (Booth C1725 in Hall C1), in Munich, Germany.
