CeramTec at Sensor+Test 2026: Ceramic expertise for reliable measurement technology – now for the fifth year running!

From 9 to 11 June, the specialist in high-performance ceramics will be showcasing its range of products for industrial measurement applications at the Nuremberg Trade Fair for Sensor and Measurement Technology in Hall 1, Stand 530 – from ultrasonic solutions and piezoceramic components to structural ceramics and hermetically sealed components.

  • CeramSense® ultrasonic flow sensors for precise flow measurement in domestic and industrial applications
  • More than 40 structural ceramic materials for applications ranging from electronic substrates to 3D-printed components
  • Ceramaseal®: hermetic solutions for electrical devices in demanding industrial measurement environments

Sensor+Test is regarded as the key meeting place for manufacturers, developers and users in the fields of sensor technology, measurement and testing technology. CeramTec has been using the trade fair for several years as a platform to demonstrate the key role that technical ceramics play in modern sensor technology. Now, for the fifth year running, the company is presenting a wide range of applications under the trade fair slogan “5 Years Strong at Sensor+Test”: flow measurement and leak detection, measurement technology, materials testing and acceleration measurement. CeramTec also showcasing hermetically sealed components that function reliably even in the harshest industrial environments.

CeramSense®: consistent transmit and receive performance at high sensitivity

One of CeramTec’s highlights at Sensor+Test is the water-coupled 2 MHz ultrasonic flow sensors CeramSense®. They are suitable for use in smart ultrasonic water meters for domestic and industrial applications and enable reliable operation under demanding environmental conditions of all types of meter. The sensors combine CeramTec’s many years of experience in the development and production of high-performance ceramics with its extensive automation expertise in application-oriented sensor design. What makes these liquid level sensors special is that they are versatile – they can be used for applications such as level sensing, urea detection, stress measurement, underwater distance ranging and more. The advantage: CeramTec controls the entire manufacturing process, from ceramic powder and piezo-ceramic production through to assembly and performance testing – in line with market standards for various regulatory requirements. “We are committed to developing proven and competitive flow sensors for our customers that are robust, durable and easy to integrate,” says Charlie Dowling, Business Line Director Piezo & Sensors at CeramTec.

Ceramaseal®: hermetically sealed connections for electrical devices

CeramTec is also presenting its portfolio of hermetic sealing solutions under the Ceramaseal® brand. The range includes feedthroughs, pressure feedthroughs (NPT), coaxial connectors, multipin connectors, isolators, as well as viewports and more. Aluminium oxide ceramic connectors are used wherever electrical conductors need to be routed through a device housing in a vacuum-tight manner, for example in transformers, capacitors, filters, power supply and cable connections. They electrically insulate the conductor from the housing and reliably seal the interior of the device – often filled with oil or gas – against the ambient environment. The bond between ceramic and metal or glass is based on a patented process and remains vacuum-tight even under extreme temperature and pressure conditions.

From substrates to 3D printing: structural ceramics for every requirement

CeramTec offers more than 40 materials for structural ceramics, tailored to different requirements and fields of application. The range extends from substrates for electronic applications and ceramic membranes, through protective and insulating tubes for industrial measurement technology, to custom-made components produced using 3D printing. “Measurement technology in industrial settings places high demands on precision and reliability,” says Dowling. “Our solutions can be specifically tailored to the respective requirements – whether durability, thermal stability or complex geometries. Visitors are warmly invited to discover our latest developments and speak to our expert team.”
