Movement is good for a company, but if it’s channeled in different directions, it can be difficult to maintain a sound balance. In the late 2000s, Metabo’s attempt to straddle the market for DIY enthusiasts and tradesmen became an increasingly difficult challenge for the tradition-steeped, southern German electrical power tool manufacturer. So the new CEO Horst W. Garbrecht ordered a conscious repositioning of the company in 2009.
In order to cement the right image in the target groups’ minds, we joined forces with the Board of Directors to develop the “Metabo Story”. While the Nürtingen workforce is focusing hard once again on manufacturing electrical power tools for professionals, we produce the appropriate content for state-of-the-art media work, social media and speakers’ opportunities. We bring the kind of real stories to life that readers find authentic, credible and fascinating. And we work on continuously developing the overarching communications strategy.
Metabo has shown dynamism, flexibility, courage and passion to shore its position long-term in the sector – away from the precarious balancing act toward a sure-footed approach and the status of an innovative and globally successful pioneer. In turn, we support Metabo’s efforts to galvanize professionals’ faith in the brand with a great deal of creativity, profound understanding, smart communications measures and a campaign that reaches the target group.
