Communication Consultants (CC) has won four German Design Awards 2019 in the category “Excellent Communications Design” for customer projects. An international jury assigns the awards annually in the areas of Product and Communication Design. The awards ceremony took place on February 8 in Frankfurt am Main.
The web magazine “perspektive” of the Schwenninger Krankenkasse (SKK) received a “Winner” award. After the relaunch, the magazine convinces with an authentic image concept and a courageous selection of topics. In combination with the print edition, the web magazine subtly conveys SKK’s corporate values and sets itself apart from the mainstream market of health magazines. According to the GDA jury, the magazine is keeping up with the zeitgeist.
Together with its customer DIN – German Institute for Standardization – CC has also won two “Special-Mention” awards. The anniversary brochure tells the history of DIN and was a central element of the campaign to mark the 100th anniversary of the standardization organization. Inspired by the DIN EN ISO 2016 standard, which describes paper formats, the brochure consists of different formats. The A4 magazine for partners of DIN and decision-makers from the business world surprises with strong pictures and a more compact format than the title suggests. DIN deliberately takes a back seat in terms of design and moves away from its corporate design. The consistent design element of the first issue is a bright yellow, which gives the magazine its recognition value.
The Bosch Chassis Systems Control business unit can also look forward to a special mention for their employee magazine “success”. The magazine is published three times a year in German, English, Chinese and Japanese. The decisive factor for the award was the foldable poster format. The topics unfold according to the iceberg principle: The reader receives the most important facts in printed form, which are supplemented with further information, pictures and videos in the online edition on the intranet.
“We are delighted that, as a PR agency, we were also able to convince in terms of design,” says Sandra Kimmel, Deputy Manager and Creative Director of Communication Consultants. “Our biggest thanks goes to our customers, who have always trusted us completely, even with courageous designs”.
